Men Who Care
Men Who Care is a campaign that plans to raise awareness about the vital role unpaid male carers play in Cornwall and highlight the specific challenges they face.
Male carers often face many challenges and hurdles in their caring roles. Across the UK, men make up at least 42% of all unpaid carers, with Cornwall having a significant proportion.
However, men will rarely seek out support or assistance, as they are less likely to speak up about their feelings or voice their concerns.
It can be due to numerous factors, such as pride and societal norms, as caring is commonly viewed as a female oriented responsibility.
That is why our goal with the campaign is change that notion and to show that men are capable of caring, and that support does exist for them.
Together, we can make a difference for unpaid carers in Cornwall. #MenWhoCareCornwall
